I am the proud owner and founder of Mountain Adventure Retreats, LLC, a venture that took root in 2013. Colorado has always been my home, and in 2001, I found my heart in the Ridgway/Ouray region, where I’ve been ever since.
My journey has been one of learning and exploration. I hold an Associate degree in Business and marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as an Associate degree in Travel & Tourism Management from Park Business College. Alongside my professional pursuits, I’m a devoted mother to an incredible child who’s venturing into the world of Aerospace Engineering.
Life here is all about embracing the outdoors and sharing it with the ones I love. With my partner, Steve, I indulge in cycling, skiing, hiking, backpacking, climbing, 4-wheeling, fly fishing, paddle boarding, and every other adventure this remarkable location offers.
Entrepreneurship beckoned me early. At just 21, I established a corporate travel agency in Phoenix, Arizona. However, my heart longed for the mountains, and I returned to my beloved Colorado. Joining Colorado Mountain Express as Vice President of Travel Services, I helped pioneer wholesale ski vacation packages, spanning everything from lodging and lift passes to airport transfers and ski rentals. This chapter sparked my involvement in the aviation industry, forging partnerships with ski resorts across the US and Canada.
Telluride became a recurring chapter, tapping into my expertise for their air program and later, aiding Telluride.com in creating a reservation center tied to a major property management company. It was this experience that ignited the idea of Mountain Adventure Retreats. Ouray County’s potential was evident, and I was determined to fill the need for exceptional property management services.
My love for this region’s rich history and diverse activities fuels my commitment to both second homeowners and guests.
